Special guest appearance on 22nd February - The Illusion of Love

On 22nd February from 20:00, the Museum of Illusions is organizing a special guest appearance by Dr. Aleksandar Misojcic, one of the leading psychiatrists in the field of mental health, who will speak on the intriguing topic "The Illusion of Love".

Is infatuation a real emotion or just our mind playing tricks on us?

Many people in the infatuation phase idealize their partner, ignoring signs that indicate possible problems in the relationship. Our brains work differently at these moments, activating the same centers as certain addictive substances. How long does this infatuation actually last before we face reality? Why do some people keep returning to relationships that they don't like, even though they know they are trapped in an illusion? How does emotional maturity affect the recognition of healthy relationships?

The difference between infatuation and mature love

Infatuation is often colored by intense emotions and idealization, but what happens when that feeling begins to fade? Is infatuation just a passing phase, while mature love only comes when the illusion disappears? How does the brain process these changes and how does a deeper connection and attachment occur after the initial euphoria fades?

The impact of modern times on the perception of love

Social media, dating apps and romantic movies shape the way we experience love. Idealized images of perfect relationships further create expectations that are often out of touch with reality. How does this affect today's relationships and the way we choose partners?

Dr. Aleksandar Misojcic will speak about all these topics and many others, helping visitors to understand from a scientific perspective how the brain shapes emotions and why falling in love is often perceived as one of the most intense but also most deceptive human emotions.

Step into a world where emotions intertwine with illusion, creating memorable experiences! More information and how to purchase tickets can be found on the museum's websitewebsite and social networks.
