Book fair in Belgrade

The biggest book festival is coming to town. The event of immeasurable importance for culture, education, science and every individual will bring together the most famous publishers from the country and the world. The regional event will feature latest editions, popular books, children's books, adult literature, special editions and everything you need in print.

Belgrade Book Fair 2024 important information

- The exact venue of the Book Fair is at the Belgrade Fair, halls 1, 1A, 2A and 4

- The fair area is 30,000 square meters

- Working hours from 10:00 to 20:00

- 418 direct exhibitors as well as indirect ones in an identical number

- more than 500 programs are organized for visitors

- Family days are 21st and 22nd October

- "School Day", a mandatory part of the program at the Book Fair since 2005, will bring together publishers for the 67th edition, who will present their programs for students, professors, librarians and all interested guests. This year, "School Day" takes place on Thursday, 24th October. On the same day, traditional fair prizes will be awarded

- At the same time, the 53rd Education and Teaching Aids Fair is being held.

On the first day of the fair, on 19th October at 18:00, there will be a grand opening ceremony. The honor of opening this year's literary spectacle has Milena Markovic. The country guest of honor is Cuba, which has been fostering friendly relations with Serbia for more than 120 years. The Cuban delegation consists of 18 people who will present books from Cuba at the Book Fair from 19th to 27th October. At the very opening, visitors will be greeted by Miguel Barnet.

The guests of the magnificent fair program are Tony Parsons (Great Britain), Natasa Rogelja (Slovenia) and David Unger (Guatemala, USA). Addresses to the audience were promised by leading domestic writers, numerous foreign guests and their publishing houses. Publishers from Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Iran, Congo, Morocco, Germany, Russia, Romania, Tunisia, Turkey and many other countries will present themselves to the visitors.

During all nine days of the fair, book lovers will be able to replenish their own library or find an ideal gift at fair prices. Lower prices, gifts and other benefits are ready for every visitor. Be sure to set aside time to attend panels, discussions and quality conversations with authors.
